Born in New Boston, Ohio, Orville moved to Detroit at age 5 after the death of his father. On his 22nd birthday, he hit the beaches of Guadalcanal and received a Purple Heart. After his tour of duty, he performed on the stage with Bert Lahr and Edward Everett Horton. After marrying Evelyn, he worked as an executive on the Teamsters Union.

Funeral Monday 1 p.m. at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, 33603 Grand River Aveue, downtown Farmington (1 blk. W. of Farmington Rd.). Officiant Rev. Larry R. Austin.

Visitation Sunday 4-8 p.m.

Interment Glen Eden Memorial Park, Livonia.
