Age 55.
Obie "Rusty" Moore was born on December 1, 1960, and passed away on October 22, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Karen for 29 years, and loving father to Madelyn Moore (Steven Jenkins) and Megan Moore. Predeceased by his parents, Obiedious W. Moore, Sr. and Patricia Culkin Rozema, and his sister, Stephanie Santos. Obie also leaves behind his loving family, Arthur L. Rozema, great aunt Mary Culkin, aunt Grace Culkin, and seven brothers and sisters: Fawne (Tom) Atkinson, Brad Rozema, Brian (Julie) Rozema, Teresa (Victor) Dearman, Lynne (Rob) Driscoll, Gene (Annette) Moore, and Art (Megan) Rozema.

Obie was a dynamic person who loved life and all of its challenges. He truly embodied the entrepreneurial spirit, and was a successful Detroit business owner who believed in the city and its people. Aside from his family, friends, and work, Obie's greatest passion was music, which he wrote and shared with everyone to enjoy. Our most fervent hope is that Obie is now touring the heavens playing his guitar.

Funeral Saturday 12:00 p.m. (in state 11:00 a.m.) at Orchard United Methodist Church, 30450 Farmington Road,
(S. of 14 Mile Road) Farmington Hills, MI 48334. Rev. Suzanne K. Goodwin will officiate.

Rusty's family will receive friends for visitation on Friday from 2-9 p.m. at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home in Downtown Farmington.
