Age 83 of Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Beloved wife of the late Wilford W. Dear mother of Brenda Thompson and Kimberly (Chuck) LaParr. She was the loving grandmother of Ryan Nathaniel (Robin) LaParr and Michaela Noelle LaParr. Great-grandmother of Rylynn Nichole LaParr. Sister of Neil (Annie) Nichols, Denver (Patti) Nichols, Donald (Alice) Nichols, Dewey Nichols, Lloyd (Marcia) Nichols, Danny (Jane) Nichols, and Sharon (Bernard) Sloan. Sister-in-law of Lenore Nichols. Monteen was preceded in death by her parents Lela and Estel Nichols, and her brothers Clyde and Doyle Nichols.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 12 - 8 p.m. at the Thayer-Rock Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. (in-state after 12 noon) at Lighthouse Worship Center 19827 Middlebelt Road, Livonia, Michigan. Bishop Roger Fleming and Pastor Chuck LaParr officiating.

Interment will be in Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi, Michigan.
