Age 33. Passed away unexpectedly on Saturday.
Loving son of Jim and Jan. Beloved brother of Lindsay and Sarah. Cherished grandson of Lucille Chappell.
Godson of Sandra Frank and Thomas Fredericks. Dear cousin, nephew and friend to many. He also leaves behind his companions Bella the dog and Leah the cat.

Mike was a car lover, attending a number of Dream Cruise's. Over the years, he has owned muscle cars including three corvettes, a GTO,
Trans Am, and a Mustang. He had a passion for motorcycles, and has a Honda crotch rocket.

He always looked forward to family vacations, especially northern Michigan getaways. We experienced the outdoors in tents, campers and cottages and hotels. He never missed an opportunity to experience a boat ride, jet ski, kayak, catch a fish, eat a pasty, or enjoy the ambiance of a campfire overlooking a lakeside sunset. He was an avid snowboarder and Michigan deer hunter.

He loved pets, and treated them with kindness. He was a gentle giant of a man, always lending a hand to his family and friends at a moment's notice, without asking for anything in return.

He enjoyed preparing and cooking meals for himself and others. He was very particular with what he ate, choosing unique cuisine, whenever available.

We miss him.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-9 PM at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home in downtown Farmington.

Memorial Service will follow on Saturday at 11 AM, with visiting beginning before hand at 10 AM at the Funeral Home.
