Age 85. She was born to Alma and John Stong in Detroit, Michigan. A descendant of the Beaubien and Connor families, Mary was raised in a loving home in Detroit. In 1939 Mary met Donald S. Carnegie, the man of her dreams. They wed in 1941, had six children and fifty three romantic years together. Family and friends meant everything to Mary. On any given day you could stop by and find her caring for her children, keeping her home or hosting a card party. Memories of Christmases shared together, summer picnics by the pool and the smell of Mary's chocolate chip cookies will fill our minds when we remember her. Mary was a devoted wife, wonderful mother, awesome grandmother, cozy great-grandmother and loyal friend who will be missed and remembered with all of our hearts.

Visitation will be Sunday 2-8 P.M. with a Rosary 7 P.M. at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, 33603 Grand River Avenue, downtown Farmington
(1 block W. of Farmington Road).

Private interment Monday at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Detroit.
