Mary Bomgren, 64, of Farmington, passed away on Monday, February 12. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jonathan Bomgren, and daughter, Hilary Michalak. She is survived by her daughters Emily (Paul) Klein and Mallory Michalak, her brother Richard (Erlene) Kuitunen, her sister Elizabeth (Charles) Gervase, and her beloved Great Dane, Bette. She will be remembered for her work advocating on behalf of people with disabilities as a teacher, lawyer, and volunteer at her church, and for instilling in her daughters the value and importance of the sauna.

A memorial visitation will be held Monday, February 19th from 4-8 PM at Thayer Rock Funeral Home, 33603 Grand River Ave., downtown Farmington. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 20th 10 AM at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 34567 Seven Mile Road, Livonia, 48152.
