Mary Jo Barak went to be home with the Lord on February 1, 2021 at the age of 87. She was born on September 10, 1933 in Big Sandy, Tennessee to the late Theron and Octa Robbins. Beloved wife of the late Moe Barak. Loving Mother of James (Lisa) Buchakian, Lisa Morris, and Patty (Marc) Kennedy. Dear Grandmother of Kristy (Shane) Muntian, Lucas Buchakian, Allison Kennedy, and Jessica (Dylan) Turner. Great Grandmother of Lily Buchakian and Chloe Muntian. She is preceeded in death by her siblings Nathalee and Sonny. She is also survived by nieces, cousins, and friends. Mary was a devout member of Forest Park Baptist Church for 47 years. Her fun nature and generous heart will be missed by everyone.

The family will be hosting a viewing for Mary Jo Barak at the Thayer-Rock Funeral Home located at 33603 Grand River Ave, Farmington, MI, from 2:00pm-8:00pm on Thursday, February 4, 2021. A funeral service is planned for 11:00am on Friday, February 5, 2021 at the Forest Park Baptist Church located at 26805 Farmington Rd, Farmington Hills, MI.

We will be following the latest health guidelines with masks being mandatory and are permitted to have no more than 25 people in attendance at one time for visitations and funerals. Please be mindful while you are here as others may wish to pay respects also.
