Age 89, of Novi (nee Wanhala). Born in Mayflower Location, Wolverine, Michigan.

Martha was born in Mayflower Location to Mikko and Sophia (nee Tormala) Wanhala. She was raised on the Mayflower Farm, with her brothers Arthur, Jake, and John; and sister Mary. Martha would later share her experiences from her childhood, remembering travelling to the Kearsarge school by stagecoach driven by Isaac Harri. The Mayflower Farm was rented from the mining company by her parents, and was later purchased by Martha's brother, Arthur Wanhala. His daughter, Ruth Wanhala presently resides there.

Martha is the beloved wife of the late Bernard M. Mannisto for over 54 years.
Dear mother of Ben (Sue) Mannisto, Gary (Marilyn) Mannisto and Nancy (John) Bassman. Loving grandmother of Daniel B. (Shelly) Mannisto, Kimberly L. (Victor) Matul and Denise (Jeffrey) Neirynch; great-grandmother of nine.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday 4-9 PM at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, Downtown Farmington.

Services and interment will be held in Eagle Harbor, Michigan.
