Age 89. Beloved wife of the late Raymond E. Dowler. Loving mother of Elizabeth & Shaul Ben-Meir and Priscilla & Larry Poese. Dear grandmother of Daniel & Michael Ben-Meir and Amy & Chris Brinkman. Great-grandmother of Ethan & Sydney Brinkman.

Marion retired from the Detroit Public School system after 30 years of teaching vocal music. She was a member of the Mu Phi Epsilon Music Fraternity, the North West Detroit Kiwanis Club and she was a member of North Congregational Church and sang in the choir for over 60 years.

Visitation will be on Monday from 2-5 & 6:30 -9 p.m. at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home. A memorial service will take place Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008 at 1 p.m. at North Congregational Church 36520 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills, Rev. Dr. Mark P. Jensen officiating. Burial will be in Grand Lawn Cemetery in Detroit.
