Beloved wife of Melvin for 56 years. Loving mother of Marcia (Philip) Fischer, Marianne (Eric Chael) Walck, and the late Marlene Macko. Cherished grandmother of Andrew, Emily, Erika, Timothy, Nathan, Francie, and Elizabeth. Dear sister of Grace (Rev. David) Frey. Also survived by her son-in-law, John (Amy) Macko.

Preceded in death by her brothers, Carl and John Sievert.

Marie graduated from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio in 1945, and later served on the Board of Regents. She was a longtime Director of Music at St. John Lutheran Church in Farmington Hills and an active member of the Farmington Musicale.

Funeral Wednesday 11 a.m. (in state 10 a.m.) at St. John Lutheran Church, 23225 Gill Road, Farmington Hills.
