Obituary

Marie H. Roberts, age 81, passed away peacefully Monday, October 5, 2020 in her daughters home in Acworth, Ga. Promptly and strategically before she had to vote in the upcoming election, Trump vs Biden!

Marie was born at Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan on May 24, 1939. The first of two daughters to Frank J. and Marie (Newson) Schumacher after four boys! She graduated from Clarenceville High School in 1957. She married her husband Frances E. Roberts Sr. on November 22, 1958.

They welcomed their son Frances E. Roberts Jr on September 13, 1959 and their daughter Jane M. (Roberts) Wade on April 14, 1965. In the year 1983 they found their way down to the peach state, Georgia, to open their business. Marie began working in accounting for The Home Depot until she retired. During her life Marie had a fierce love of politics, including her role as a delegate in the Raegan administration. If you were lucky you could be trapped in the car for hours listening to Rush Limbaugh or even have a heated holiday debate! In her free time she had a great love for movies, reading and music. Frank Sinatra, Elvis and Dean Martin would fill the surround sound in her cars and home. With four older brothers Marie had no need to talk until the ripe age of four! You would never believe it as social as she was. There was not a stranger she did not meet, a true social butterfly. She had a great smile and even better hugs!

She is survived by her daughter Jane Wade. Her grandchildren John Roberts, Anne Davis and her husband Carter Davis, Kellie Neely and her husband Mathew Neely, and Victoria Hartigan and her husband Joshua Hartigan. Her older brother, Robert Schumacher Sr and younger sister, Josephine Mayville. Her great grandchildren Colton Neely, Brooks Neely, Kylie Hartigan, Bryce Hartigan, Reid Neely and two un-named Davis twins in utero! She leaves behind many nieces and nephews, as well as friends. Marie will be truly missed, each and every day, which is the best legacy one can leave behind. May she rest in eternal peace.

A viewing will be held at Thayer-Rock funeral home in Farmington, MI, 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Monday, October 12, 2020.
