Louise Evelyn Savare Tartt became an Angel on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Louise was born on December 24, 1925 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Dugar and Edwige Hebert Savare. She spent her early years attending Catholic schools in New Orleans- Corpus Christi Elementary, received a one year scholarship to St. Mary's Academy and continued her high school education at Xavier University Preparatory School. Upon graduation from high school, she attended and graduated with honors from Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans with a Bachelors degree. She continued her education and received a Masters degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Louise loved reaching out to others and developing young minds. Her lifelong career was working with young adults. She began her lifelong teaching career teaching mathematics at Clark High School in New Orleans. After moving to Michigan, she was employed with the Detroit Public Schools teaching mathematics to students at Barbour Junior High School, Central High School and Chadsey High School for 30 years.

Louise was married to the late Albert Tartt for 27 years. They had four children – Tyrone Tartt, Deborah Treadwell, Deirdre Cary, and Donna Ford.

Besides being a wonderful and loving wife and mother, Louise was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling, traveling, visiting relatives, gardening in the yard and spending time with her family.

She enjoyed visiting with her children and grandchildren. Always spending holidays, school events and celebrating high school and college graduations with them.

Louise was preceded in death by her loving parents Dugar Savare and Edwige Hebert Savare and her siblings Eunice Rosemary Savare, Leo Savare, Helen Savare, John Charles Savare and Edith Savare Cheri. She was also preceded in death by her brothers in-law Lionel Cheri and Francis Gonzales and sister-in-law Elsie Savare.

Louise is survived by her four children, daughters Deborah Treadwell, Deirdre Cary and Donna Ford; one son -Tyrone Tartt (Dianne Hersey) children, sister Mary Barbara Savare Gonzales of New Orleans, six grandchildren- Vanessa Hersey-Tartt, Scott (Michelle) Treadwell, Robert Ford, Dana Ford (Todd) Gunter, Jourdan Treadwell and Taylour Treadwell, two great grandsons – Liam Keach and Brandon Treadwell and a host of loving relatives and friends.
