Kenneth D.
Walberg
Jan 8, 1936 — Apr 7, 2018
Kenneth Duane Walberg was traded from the Detroit Tigers to God's eternal team on April 7th, 2018. He left into his glory surrounded by love and family, peaceful and happy until the end. He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen, his children Cathy, Karen, Bruce, Wendy, Diane, Stacey, Jessica, and Robert, his 24 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Ken played catcher for the Tigers from 1954 to 1959. He went on to graduate from Lawrence Tech, had a career with Ford Motor Company, and was a lifelong University of Michigan fan. He will be remembered as a great family man whose family went well beyond his relatives. Ken always had a kind word for everyone and never met a stranger. He will live on in the memory of the hundreds of lives he touched.
Please join us for a celebration of the life of Kenneth Walberg, who joined God's ball club on April 7th. We will gather not to mourn but to celebrate at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2018 at St. John's Episcopal Church,
574 S. Sheldon Road, Plymouth, MI 48170. All are welcome, even if we missed you on this event invite.
Detroit Tigers or University of Michigan attire requested. This will be a casual good time, just the way Grandpa Ken would have wanted.
In lieu of flowers, Ken requested donations to the Melanoma Research Foundation. https://www.melanoma.org/get-involved/support-the-mrf
