Keith M. Witmer of Novi passed away February 7, 2020 at age 94.

Born December 21, 1925, in Pierceton, Indiana, the son of Fletcher and Reba Witmer.

Beloved husband of Natalie; loving step-father of Dianne Phillips and her partner Kathy Kowalski, Son-In-Law, Donald A. Maxwell, Jr. (Elizabeth), proud grandfather of Donald A. Maxwell, III and proud step-grandfather of Joseph T. Sierzenga, IV and Jaimi E. Sierzenga. Keith is survived by a cousin, grand-niece and a great great-nephew. Keith is preceded in death by his step-children: Peter N. Phillips, Marcia R. (Phillips) Maxwell and Paul H. Phillips

Keith was a graduate of North Central College, Naperville, IL, Received Master degrees from Northwestern University and the University of Michigan. He taught music in several schools in Indiana. After he moved to the Detroit area, Keith taught choir at Redford Union High School and retired from his career in school counseling at Schoolcraft College in 1985.

Keith directed church choirs in Chicago, IL, LaPorte, IN and at Trinity United Methodist Church in Detroit, MI

The Witmer family will receive guests (10:30am – service begins at 11:00am) February 20th at Nardin Park United Methodist Church 29887 W. Eleven Mile 48336.
