Kathleen Cecelia Shelly, age 85, died peacefully while in Farmington Hills, MI on Thursday, November 21, 2013.

She was born on February 7, 1928, in Detroit, MI, daughter of Virginia and James Francis Williams. In 1950 she married Hugh James Shelly and together they raised their children: Linda Broeder (Raymond), Michael (Sandra), and Patrick (Jamie). In addition to her three children, Kate is survived by her granddaughters Shelly, Connie, Laura, Teagan, Brooke, Elizabeth and Annette, and great-grandchildren Nathan and Olivia.

Kate was preceded in death by her husband Hugh, sister Eileen Lagosz, and brother James Williams.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, November 25, 2013, at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Farmington, followed by a mass at 10:00 AM.

Memorial donations may be made in Kate's name to St. John Providence Health Systems Foundation / Hospice Program Support Fund.
