Karen Elizabeth Albrecht of Farmington unexpectedly passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021, at age 75. Karen was born September 2, 1946 in Lorain, Ohio, the daughter of Joseph and Katherine Szeto. Karen completed her associates in nursing at Lake Michigan Community College and subsequently graduated with her Bachelors in Nursing at Western Michigan University. Karen moved with her family to Farmington in 1989 and was employed by Botsford Hospital for over 25 years. She had a passion for gardening and won several residential Farmington beautification awards for her landscaping efforts.

Her greatest passion was her family. She is survived by David Albrecht her beloved husband of 54 years and loving mother of Heidi Schmid (Albrecht) and Eric Albrecht. She was the proud grandmother of 7 grandchildren (Jacob, Elise, Bethany, Ava, Audrey, Abigail, Anna) and the caring sister of Joseph Szeto (deceased), Elanie Hoy, and John Szeto.

The Albrecht family will receive guests 3:00 – 8:00 pm, on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at the funeral home.

A Funeral Service for Karen will be 10:00am (9:00 visitation) Thursday, September 30, 2021, also at the Funeral Home.

Memorial donations in memory of Karen may be directed to Ward Presbyterian Church.
