Julia was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on July 17, 1924. She moved to Detroit in 1952 and was a long-time resident of Farmington, Michigan. Julia traveled extensively throughout the United States, Europe and Australia, but her heart always remained in Milwaukee.
Most of all, Julia loved and cared for her family! She took great pride in being a good homemaker and was the best cook ever! No one could top her lemon meringue pie or carrot cake! She loved a great joke, playing Scrabble, and was the crossword puzzle queen.
We all knew how much she "appreciated" fine dining!
Julia is survived by her brother Leonard Stangl of Crown Point , Indiana, sister-in-law Barbara Stangl-Edmonds and Katie Stangl of Tucson, Arizona, and many loving nieces and nephews.
A special thank you goes to the friendly and caring staff at Oakmont of Northville and Kindred Care Hospice. A VERY special thank you goes to the wonderful and loving caregivers of Balanced Care at Oakmont.
According to Julia's wishes services will be private.
"Godspeed on your journey, Mom. You finally got your wish to be with Dad. We love you!"
