Age 84, of Farmington Hills. Born in Creighton, South Dakota.

Beloved husband of Virginia. Dearest father of Henry (Dalee), Diana (Robert) and Patricia (Christopher). Also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Joseph was a long time member of D.A.D. (Detroit Association for the Deaf) and FRAT (Fraternal Society of the Deaf).

Prayer service Sunday 2 p.m. at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, 33603 Grand River Avenue, downtown Farmington (1 blk. W. of Farmington Rd.). Officiant Chaplain Robert Finkbeiner of Arbor Hospice and Home Care, Northville.

Visitation Sunday 12 noon until 2 p.m. prayer service.

Private interment Monday at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Livonia.
