John Stillwagon, originally from Queens New York died on Monday, March 28th surrounded by family in his Farmington Hills home. A long-time employee of Union Carbide Corporation, John and his family lived in several Northeastern states before settling in Farmington Hills in 1973. He remained with UCC until his retirement in 1986. Several years later, he took up real estate at Century 21 Hartford where he remained until his departure due to illness. Under his wife Mary's long-time care, John continued to travel with friends and enjoy his family. He is survived by wife, Mary, daughters Kathleen (Doug), Anne Stillwagon and Mary Lou Stropoli (Ronald), son John Patrick (Lori) and grandchildren John Patrick, Maxine, Carly, Jacob, Jack and Owen. He was preceded in death by his son Michael. Visitation at Thayer Rock Funeral Home, 33603 Grand River Ave., Farmington, MI on Wednesday, March 30th from 2-9 pm. Rosary at 8 pm. A Celebration Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church at 10AM (in state 9:30 AM), Thursday, March 31st. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Saints for Tomorrow Fund at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.
