Loving father of Kristina M. (John) Pomerville and Amy J. (Jim) Reimer.
Cherished grandfather of Rebecca, Peyton, Chase, Holden and Xander.
Dear brother of Jane Kieshauer.

John was preceded in death by his father and mother, Frederick
and Doris Kieshauer, and a brother, Frederick Kieshauer.

He was born in Warren, Pennsylvania and spent his early
years residing there. He received his bachelor's degree from
Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania and his master's
degree from Penn State. In 1958, he moved to Livonia where
he worked on his doctorate at Wayne State in Detroit and
remained there as a language teacher for 2 years. After that
time, he elected to teach German at Oak Park High School,
where he was employed for 27 years, retiring in 1997. For 59 years, he called Michigan his home. He enjoyed playing the piano, fishing, vegetable gardening, and barbecuing. His summers were spent mowing lawns for others as he loved the outdoors.
