It is with incredible sadness that the family of John Leo Goodroe, Sr. announces his passing on March 18, 2021 at age 71. John is survived by Lisa, his beloved wife of nearly 40 years. He was the proud father of four children – Jennifer (Scott) Donahue, Nicole (Dan) Goodroe-Monette, Alissa (Dana) Gash, and John (Jessica) Goodroe. He had eight grandchildren – Autumn Donahue, Chase Donahue, Monique Goodroe, Tristan Monette, MichaelAnne Monette, Marissa Monette, Eleanor Gash and Josephine Gash.

John had 5 siblings – Joseph (Sue) Goodroe, Don (Judy) Goodroe, Dave (Carol) Goodroe, Linda (the late Joe) Rawlings, and Ilene (Randy) Galbraith.

He was the uncle to an abundance of nieces and nephews in addition to great nieces and nephews.

John was a Marine and later an Iron Worker. He was a kind, humble and strong man. He took great pride in his career and in providing for his family. John loved dogs and motorcycles and will forever be a Detroit sports fan.
