Age 75, of Commerce Twp., Michigan
passed away on November 1, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on
September 17, 1933 to the late Dr. H. Bailey and Grace Sharp.

Joanne was a 40 year resident of Farmington, a graduate of Hillsdale College and a proud
member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She loved spending time in Elk Rapids on Elk Lake, where her great grandparents settled. She taught school prior to making a lifetime career as a devoted and loving mother and homemaker. She was an avid gardener and animal lover.

Joanne was the beloved wife of the late John D. McCririe. She is survived by her loving children,
Bob (Lisa) of Elk Rapids, Jill McCririe (Mike Phillips) of Plymouth, and Amy (Sean) Walker of
Commerce Twp.; daughter in law Kim; grandchildren Megan, Zach, Brodie, Shane and Kenzie;
brother Dr. Robert (Carol) Sharp; and numerous other family members and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, 33603 Grand River Ave.,
Farmington, MI 48335 (1 blk. W. of Farmington Rd.) on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 2 PM.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 11 AM until 2 PM service. In lieu of flowers,
the family would deeply appreciate donations to Hospices of Henry Ford, Lake Land Team,
1 Ford Place, 5A, Detroit, MI 48202 in memory of Joanne McCririe.
