Age 88. Beloved husband of the late Betty Jean for 53 years. Loving father of Richard Paul Newton and Kathleen (Joseph) Lopez.

He was a proud Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army during W.W.II. Jim was a graduate of MacKenzie High School, Wayne State University, receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for Detroit Edison for over 35 years.

Funeral Tuesday 10:30 AM at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, Downtown Farmington. Rev. Bob Hegdal officiating.

Visitation on Monday 2-8 PM.

Interment Parkview Memorial Cemetery, Livonia.
