Age 80. Beloved wife of Richard for 60 years. Loving mother of Daniel (Margaret) King, Linda Sandin, and David (Shelley) King. Cherished grandmother of Jesse King, Shawna (Damon) Guyitt, Nicholas King, Melissa Sandin, and Carly King. Proud great-grandmother of Daniel King, Matthew Hrobsky, Jayden King, Anna Gibbs, and Nolan Guyitt. Dear sister of Donna (Al) Melchert, and the late Maxine Shirtliff.

Ila was an awesome cook and baker, known especially for her Christmas cookies, and pies. She enjoyed canning stewed tomatoes, chilly sauce, and jam.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, Downtown Farmington. Dr. Bernie Callahan, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Livonia, will officiate.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
