Age 80, of Farmington Hills.

Beloved husband of Mary Ellen. Dear father of Douglas & Pat Merenda, Gary Merenda and Lisa & Alvin Baker. Loving grandfather of Brandon Merenda. Brother of John Merenda. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Giuseppe was a music teacher and band director for 34 years in the Detroit Public School System. He loved music and was the leader of the Edinborough Saxophone Quartet after he retired from the school system. Giuseppe was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Farmington, and a Veteran of the United States Army.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. (In-state 10 a.m.) at the First United Methodist Church of Farmington, 33112 Grand River Ave,. Farmington. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens.
