Florence A.
Adair
May 9, 1921 — Apr 20, 2011
Age 89. Beloved wife of the late Robert F. Adair for 59 years. Loving mother of Robert J. Adair (Barbara), Holly Adair, and Shelly Dunlop (Hillyer). Cherished grandmother of Alisa Jenks (James), Chelsea Dunlop, Robert P. Adair, Sean Dunlop, Vanessa Lucius (Andrew), and the late Erin Crisp (Jimmy); great-grandmother of Grayce Jenks and Savanna Crisp; and step-grandmother of Paul Oppenheim and Beth Pompay (Michael).
For over 60 years Florence was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a past Most Worthy Grand Matron of the General Grand Chapter, and past Grand Matron of the Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star of Michigan. She exemplified fraternal friendship and charity, and spread a fan of faith as she traveled throughout the world. Her passion was inspirational, and her appreciation and admiration of others a blessing she kept close to her heart.
She was an avid reader and student of life whose interest in literature, history and the world we live in only grew with each passing year. Her enthusiasm and understanding were gifts she shared as the dearly and deeply loved matriarch of her family. She gave great joy to her family and left each one a legacy of honor, love and compassion.
A private family memorial has been planned.
