Age 77, of Brighton. Born in Calumet, Michigan.

Evelyn received a Bachelors Degree from Northern Michigan University, and later a Masters Degree from Wayne State University and a Specialists Degree from Michigan State University. She started her career as a teacher in Bark River, Michigan, retiring from Redford Union Schools teaching Home Economics after 34 years. Evelyn also taught piano and organ lessons.

She is the beloved wife of Raymond and the late John M. Soronen. Loving mother of Julie Duprey, Joel (Debbie) Soronen, and Jeffrey (Marilyn) Soronen. Loving stepmother to Christine (Martin) Taylor, David (Denise) Bjorklund, and Kathleen (Stephen) Bishop.
Cherished grandmother of Melissa, Karissa, Kristen, Jeremy, and Sage. Dear sister of Ethel Harmala, Edith (Joseph) Hilman, Edwin (Eleanor) Harmala, the late Elmer Harmala and the late Ernest Harmala. Sister-in-law of Joyce Harmala and Marjorie (Doug) Johnson.
