Born on February 26, 1927 to the late Henry and Edith Kahler in Lake Linden, Michigan. She graduated from Lake Linden High School in 1945. She moved to Detroit in 1950 and to Farmington in 1978. Elva was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Farmington.

She is survived by her brother, Don (Shirley) Kahler of Chassell, Michigan and her sister Mae Toutaut of Laurium, Michigan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6th at the First United Methodist Church of Farmington 33112 Grand River Ave., Farmington. Rev. Carolyn Wik officiating.
