Betty age 89, born in Newburyport, MA the daughter of Waldemar and Elizabeth (Kumor) Schultz.

Betty was one of four children Hanni, Sophie and Sue. Following graduation from high school, she attended and graduated from Henry Ford Hospital School of Nursing. It was during this time that she met her future husband, Rev. Thomas V. "Tom" Waber. They were married in 1950 and had four children, Ellen (deceased), Arthur (Alyson Colwell-Waber), John (Monica Fritz), and Karen (Larry Vogel). They had four grandchildren Amanda Nguyen, Andrew Waber, Jim Waber and Amy Cohen; four great grandchildren, Logan and Danny Nguyen and Eli and Joel Cohen.

Betty dedicated her life to service for others as a nurse for 37 years at area hospitals including Ford, Sinai and Botsford, as a pastor's wife with many roles in churches in MI and OH, and as an active member of St. John Lutheran Church for over 25 years.

A Memorial Service for Betty will be held at 11:00 AM on December 22, 2018 at St, John Lutheran Church, 23225 Gill Rd. Farmington, 48335.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. John Lutheran Church Worship Ministries, Farmington, Michigan.
