Age 92. Beloved wife of the late John. Dear sister of Virginia Bates. Loving mother of Dr. James (Dr. Janis) Bow and Dr. Barbara (Barry) Mullinix. Cherished grandmother of Dr. Erik (Susanna), Kelley (Richard), and Jamie; great-grandmother of six.

Betty received her Master' Degree in 1944 from the University of Michigan, and was a member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority. She taught in the Rochester and Detroit school systems for 36 years.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday 4 PM, MAY 14, 2011 at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, Downtown Farmington. Rev. Douglas D. Carter will officiate.

Visiting with the family will begin at 1 PM until 4 PM service.
