Age 102, died on April 5th in Pinckney, Michigan.
Born in South Range on November 24, 1912. Graduate of Jeffers High School. Mr. Kahkola moved to the Detroit area, where he married Marie Havela, raising six children. He was employed as an electronics engineer, often travelling the country to service industrial factories.

Mr. Kahkola is survived by six children, Mary (Thomas) Carver, Jeanne (Richard) Ostic, Joyce (Dwight) Gregory, Robert (Caron) Kahkola, John (Judith) Kahkola & Nancy (John) Karolak, 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife Marie of 65 years, and siblings Jenny Oldford, Wilho Kahkola, Ann Valentine, and Vieno Karl.

Funeral Wednesday 1:00 p.m. at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, Farmington. Officiating is Pastor Andy Whitten of Our Saviour Apostolic Lutheran Church.
