Dorothy "Dort" Ann Link Burtch passed away on June 3, 2017 at age 91. Born in Sandusky, Ohio, on September 23, 1925, she graduated from St. Mary's High School, and went on to receive her nursing diploma at St. Vincent's Hospital in Toledo. She married Robert Burtch in 1947.

Dort worked as a Registered Nurse at Grace Northwest Hospital in Detroit, MI. She later set up a nursing education program at Farmington High School. After that she went on to work as a Nurse Recruiter for Harper-Grace Hospital. Upon retirement, Dort worked as a volunteer at Angela Hospice in Livonia, MI.

Dort is survived by 5 sons: Robert, Jeffrey (Mary), David (Linda), Bradley (Heather) and Timothy as well as 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers Frank (Susan) and David, as well as sister-in-law Helen Link and more than 3 dozen nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents Frank and Amelia Link, brother Larry, brother Francis (Bud) and his wife Mary Ellen, sister Jean and her husband Lee Weyer, and sister-in-law Barbara Link.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 a.m. (in state 10 a.m.) at
Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 770 Thayer, Northville, MI 48167.

Dort's family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday from 3-8 p.m. (Scripture 7 p.m.) at
Thayer-Rock Funeral Home in downtown Farmington.
