Age 85.

Dear husband of the late Rita and the late Kathleen. Beloved father of David (Myra) Gentry and Richard (Sandra) Gentry. Loving grandfather of Heather (Brian) Droz, Matthew, Christopher and Adam Gentry. Great-grandfather of Kimberly and Amelia Droz.

Mr. Gentry was a decorated Army Air Force WWII veteran, he worked for the Detroit Police Department from 1947 to 1972 retiring as a Superintendent. He then worked from 1972-1983 as the Chief of Police for the Port Huron Police Department.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:30 a.m. at funeral home. Rev. Larry R. Austin officiating. Burial, with Military Honors will take place in St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn Heights. Visitation Thursday 2-8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc.
