Age 83. Carol was born June 19, 1931 to Nellie and Harold Young in Hazel Park, Michigan. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Austin.

Beloved mom of Sharon (Dan) Rankin, Rob (Kathi) Austin, Steve (Terrie) Austin and Nancy (Steve) Kuzara. Beloved grandmother of Katy (Adam) Covington, Bill (Louisa) Rankin, Melissa (Nick) Green, Ryan Austin, Jennifer and Kelly Kuzara. Cherished great-grandmother of Sophie and Henry Covington and Edie Green. Sister of Norma Scott, aunt to many nieces and nephews, and preceded in death by sisters Audrey and Virginia and brother Bill. Lifelong friend of Mary and John Bollan.

Funeral 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, DECEMBER 30th, at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home in Downtown Farmington.

Carol's family will receive friends for visitation from 2:00-9:00 p.m. on Monday, DECEMBER 29th, at the funeral home.

Interment at Parkview Memorial Cemetery, Livonia.
