Obituary

Loving wife of the late Frank. Beloved mother of Sandi Dornan, Jeff (Alice) Zaher, Marsha (Robert) Bianconi, Melinda Zaher, Suzann (Victor) Rodriguez and the late Linda Zenn. Dear sister of the late Mary Jane (Paul) Van Den Muysenberg.

Betty Ann was born to Helen and William in Altoona, PA and joined her sister Mary Jane on what was said to be a beautiful summer day. As a teenager, her fathers' job with Chrysler brought the family to Michigan where she graduated from Grosse Pointe South and attended Wayne State University, until she married and had two daughters.

Life continued with her second marriage to her beloved Frank. Upon her second marriage she became step-mom to Jeff, Marsha, Melinda, and Suzann, which gave her 5 grandchildren. She could always be found in the kitchen making him one of her 'famous' apple pies. How she loved anything culinary, gardening, animals and painting along side of Frank! In the later years, after retirement from an engineering firm, she displayed amazing courage and loyalty in caring for her cherished Frank while he was battling a long term illness. She didn't stop there.

She went on to find joy in numerous volunteering activities including the Michigan Humane Society, Botsford Hospital, Farmington Public Schools and serving on the board of the North Farmington Historical Cemetery. Her church and Christ were foremost and she enjoyed taking care of the infants 'little angels' group along with serving a term as treasurer. She found delight in traveling with the ladies group from church and enjoyed attending many local plays and art functions. Her tenacity and strength were never more evident than in these past years battling Alzheimers. The disease may have captured her memories but it could never erase her kind spirit, poise and proper manners.

Burial at North Farmington Cemetery, Farmington Hills.
