Age 79. Beloved wife of the late John S. Hays for 40 years. Loving mother of John Michael Hays (Beverly), Debra Godin (Dennis), Brent Hays (Maria), and the late Dennis "Denny" Hays.
Cherished grandmother of Jonathan Michael Hays, Jessica Hays, Justin Hays, Jenna Hays, and Matthew Hays.

Barbara worked in housekeeping at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia for 30 years. Her grandchildren were very important to her and she was very giving. Barbara enjoyed going to the casinos and was usually "lucky". She also enjoyed traveling with her husband, John, in their motor home visiting their hometowns and friends.

Funeral Thursday 11 a.m. at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, Downtown Farmington, Dr. Edward Mattox, Pastor of Forest Park Baptist Church presiding.

Visitation Tuesday 5-8 p.m. and Wednesday 2-8 p.m.
