Age 70, of Grayling passed away on October 31, 2011.

Arlene was born in Detroit, MI on December 5, 1940, a daughter of
the late Elma (Oja) and Arthur Mattson.

She married Jackie Lee Sabin on July 2, 1988 in Redford Township.
He preceded her in death in January of 2011.

Arlene graduated from the Harper Hospital School of Nursing in 1961.
She was an active member of Mt. Hope Lutheran Church in Grayling.
Arlene enjoyed camping, traveling, reading, and Facebook with her grandchildren. She was also a Detroit Tigers and Red Wings Fan.

She is survived by: Daughters: Denise (Brian) Pigula, of Temperance, MI; Kristine Zbikowski, of Erie, MI; Sons: Michael (Susie) Nuorala, of Petoskey, MI;
Brian Nuorala, of Farmington Hills, MI.; Stepchildren: Tina Lindon, Mark Sabin, and David Sabin; 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, and brothers Myles and Ray Mattson.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday Nov. 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home , Farmington, MI.

Visitation will be held on Thursday Nov. 3, 2011 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Interment will be at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia.
