Alvin Wilson of Westland, Michigan passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at age 79.

Alvin was born in Pineville, Kentucky, September 10, 1940 the son of Mark and Ethel Wilson.

Beloved husband of Wanda; loving father of Alvin Keith, Sonia (Michael), Daniel (Michele), Vanessa (Chris) and Kevin (Jen), proud grandfather of Michael (Jen), Mark (Robyn), Nathan, Ethan, Darin, Logan, Ana and Nadia. Caring Great Grandfather of Brayden, Everly, Hadley, Kashtyn and Nixon.

Alvin was born in the mountains of Kentucky and later set his roots down in Michigan with his parents and siblings. There, as a child, he had many adventures including being chased by a bull up a tree.

A few years after graduating high school, without missing a single day, the fairest young lady with magical blue eyes stole his heart. She was the daughter of his dad's best friend from the south that had came to the north with her brother. Her name was Wanda. They fell in love.

Before enlisting into the army he had to make sure his love would wait for him. Wanda would not wait. She went out immediately and purchased rings for the both of them and made him wed her. The love they shared for each other has never stopped and through it was born a wonderful family of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He instilled in his children the love of nature, exploring and dreaming. Alvin had many names as most great men of legends do but he was fondest of papaw.

Though he is on his greatest adventure currently his spirit is still with us all.
