Alice Bernice "Bunny" McPhail

Our beautiful Bunny passed away peacefully on November 17th 2018, Age 93 surrounded by her loving family. Bunny was born May 7, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan. Her family moved to Farmington around 1935 where she graduated from Farmington High School in 1943.

On January 7, 1944, she married Tom McPhail and they moved to Flint, Michigan. After having two children, Dan and Dianne, her husband accepted a job transfer to Farmington and this is where they raised their family.
Bunny and Tom enjoyed boating and golf so when Tom retired they moved to Florida in the mid 1970's to enjoy the extensive boating season.

In 2000 after Tom passed, Bunny moved back home to Michigan to live near her family in the Howell area. Bunny enjoyed the fun and travel with the Red Hat Society girls.
December 2013, Bunny moved North to live in Roscommon, Michigan with her daughter, Dianne. Bunny was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church ELCA in Roscommon.

A special thanks is extended to her angels, Messiah's Pastor, Lonnie Wilkerson and his wife Jan, Assistant Pastor Dave Osim along with the compassionate Grayling Hospice team and the ever-loving Houghton Lake Brook. Our sincerest gratitude for your heartfelt care during this difficult time.

Bunny is the daughter of Herbert and Ebba (nee Nelson) Lundberg. Beloved wife of the late Tom McPhail; loving mother of Dianne (Terry) Sanders; proud grandmother of Matthew (Kelly) Sanders, Melani (Nolan) Piotrowski, Thomas (Cindy) McPhail and Tiffany McPhail; great grandmother of Alex, Max and Eli Piotrowski, Avery and Jillian Sanders, Charlie, Cody and McKenzie McPhail; also, many loving nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Bunny will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home Downtown Farmington.

The McPhail family will receive guests on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to Messiah Lutheran Church 1470 Maplehurst, Roscommon, MI 48653
