Alda Louise Quiton, age 78, of Detroit passed away on April 1, 2016 in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Alda was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 3, 1938. She was an avid sportsman. She enjoyed competing in softball, bowling, golf and wallyball. She also enjoyed reading, board games, playing cards, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, practical jokes and spending time with her family and friends.

Alda is survived by her husband Richard Alan Quiton, whom she married in 1956 and shared 59 years together. She is also survived by her daughters, Teri Louise Tibus, Jeanne Marie (Michel) Yasso and her son Richard James Quiton. Alda had six grandchildren, RJ (Rebecca) Tibus, Bradley (Leslie) Jagacki, Amy (Adrian) Hinsberg, Joseph (Tara) Yasso, Richard (Jennifer) Quiton and Andrew Yasso as well as eight great grandchildren, Isabela Louise, Carmelo Quiton, Logan Charles, Dylan Rose, Ryan Robert, Eva Marie, Gia Nicole, Audrey Claire and her loving sister Barbara Tuttle of California.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Martha at Angela Hospice and friends Joan Staffeld and Jean Kangas for their support in her final days.
