Agnete Evelyn Luther was born on December 20, 1921 to Olaf and Maren Kirstine Olsen in Graceville, Minnesota. Neta was the older of two children, her brother Henry arrived 16 months after Neta. Family gave up farming and moved to Detroit in 1923. Neta graduated from Fordson High School, Dearborn 1940 -- attended Fordson Jr. College from where she was picked to be interviewed for an office position with Vickers Highland Park Plant and was with them for five years. In 1943 Neta met Vern at the Dearborn Canteen where she was a Jr. Hostess--Vern stationed at the Ford Naval Training School Dearborn. After three months of schooling Vern was sent to the Pacific area duty on an aircraft carrier for three years. Upon his discharge in 1946 Vern and Neta were married at St. Peter's Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church Detroit. Vern and Neta were blessed with three children. Robert married Juanita, Nancy, and the late Glenn. 1964 through 1981 Neta worked for Fred Sanders Highland Park Plant in the office.

Neta was a member at St. John's and Danish Sisterhood. Neta's hobbies were traveling, photography and reading. Son, Glenn and Husband, Vern preceded Neta in death. Death came to Neta on October 27, 2011.

Funeral services will be held at
Thayer-Rock Funeral Home Monday, October 31, 2011 at 11 a.m. Pastor Bob Hegdal officiating. Burial will be at Grandlawn Cemetery in Detroit.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday from 2-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
