Ruth Kauppi Obituary

Age 80.

Ruth was born in Detroit, November 24, 1937. She was raised in Hancock, and was a graduate of Hancock High School. Ruth later attended Highland Park General Hospital School of Nursing, receiving her nursing degree in 1958.

Ruth is the loving mother of David Kauppi, Susan Kauppi, and Karen (Don) Cavell, cherished grandmother of Kyle Kauppi, Parker & Gavin Cavell, sister of Lois (Tom) Heltunen and aunt of Jenny (Tim) Van Pamel, Mark (Renee) Heltunen, Rebecca (Pete) Torola and their families.

Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles Kauppi of 54 years, son Michael Kauppi and parents Helmer and Elvie (nee Poyhonen) Abramson.

Funeral service 11:00 am Saturday at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church, Howell, MI.

Visitation 4-8 pm Friday at the church. Interment in Riddle Cemetery, Oceola Township.
